What used to be the Welsh Composites Consortium is now the Welsh Composites Centre (WCC), the first Knowledge Transfer Centre at Swansea University under the Welsh Assembly Government’s A4B programme.

The WCC has been established to         

• ensure that Welsh Companies are maximising the potential of new developments in composites.

• bring the outcomes of University Research and Development across Wales to market as effectively as possible, utilising Swansea University’s active involvement in the Technium Programme.

• facilitate the establishment of world-leading research and development partnerships across Wales, potentially accessing further funding, for instance from TSB, EPSRC, FP7 or CIRP.

• support companies, specifically SMEs, with high-quality short-term consultancy; to match up requirements with capabilities and to provide best advice on support funding that may be available.

 

The aim of the WCC is to support industry by

• Facilitation of contacts and dialogue

• Targeted events

• Assistance to Enterprises and Collaborative R&D

• Provision of information
